The Best Franchisee of the world competition was held in Florence, Italy in December 2015. Omar Yunes won first place at the edition of the competition. He is a franchisee of Sushi Itto. Yunes said that he was very excited to win the award. He dedicated the award to his 400 employees. He said that it was their effort that had won him the award. Yunes was one of the top contenders because he had won it at the national level in Mexico. The second place went to a franchisee of Prendamex, Ivan Tamer. Tamer had developed a suite of tools that improved the marketing system. It was used in managing the network of pawnshops. Patricia Campos is the franchise manager of the brand. Patricia said that Tamer had played a huge role in the development of the franchise. This made him stand out from the rest.
The jury that judged the competition at the Mexican national level comprised of representatives from different organizations and companies. They included franchise entrepreneurs, employees, and representatives from the Mexican Association of Franchises. Omar Yunes is a real estate developer and an entrepreneur in Mexico. Yunes is the founder of Yandai SA. This is a company that operates the Sushi Itto franchises. He owns several properties in Mexico and a condominium apartment in New York. His success in business is attributed to his ability to expand his holdings quickly.
